Port of Dewatto Announces Open Seat for Commissioner

The Port of Dewatto has an open seat for Commissioner, District 3. The per diem for this position is $114/meeting/day. Letters of interest can be sent to the Executive Director, Leanna Krotzer at, lkrotzer@portofdewatto.com or can be mailed in to Port of Dewatto, P.O. Box 1483, Belfair, WA 98528. Campground Closed Beginning October 1st for Winter

NOTICE: The campground will now be closed to camping annually from October 1 – March 31, with exception of large groups of 3 sites or more. September 18th, 2017 — Burn Ban Update

Due to the extreme fire conditions in Washington, all outdoor burning is banned as of 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6 2017. This includes charcoal and any thing that produces a flame. You may use propane stoves that have on/off switches, only. It has come to my attention that our website was not updated with the most current burn ban in Washington State. COUNTY-WIDE OUTDOOR BURN BAN EFFECTIVE 8:00AM-SATURDAY, JULY 15TH, 2017 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. The Mason County Community Development Director, as acting Fire Marshal, and in partnership with the Mason County Fire Chiefs’ Association, has determined that current weather conditions within Mason County have created substantial fire dangers and that there is a need to enact restriction on outdoor burning to all lands regulated by Mason County.
