Campground Closed for the 2020 Season

As of September 15, 2020. The Dewatto River Campground is closed for the season. The Commissioners, Joe, the Campground Coordinator, Suzanne the Reservation Specialist, and Jeana the Port Manger would like to wish all of you a wonderful Fall and Winter Season and continue to be safe. It is open for DAY use from 9:00 am to 5 PM daily. No fires. No motor vehicles of any kind. Take your trash with you. No overnight camping. We will reopen in the Spring of 2021. 2003 Fire

County Wide Burn Ban Begins August 28

Mason County has issued a County Wide Burn Ban for recreational activities. This includes our campground at Dewatto River. No campfires. Propane and charcoal grills are acceptable as well as a charcoal or propane fire pit. The ban is in effect starting August 28, 2020 at 8:00 am and will last until further notice from the Fire Marshall. At a regular Commissioner meeting on November 13, 2019, a motion was passed to increase the campground fees beginning in 2020. April 8th Virtual Commissioner Meeting

The Port of Dewatto will be holding a virtual Commissioner meeting on April 8, 2020 in lieu of the actual Port building. Covid-19 Update

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Port of Dewatto Campground is closed until April 30, 2020 or until further notice. The Port is sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, however we must be able to adhere to the social distance rules. It is our hope to be able to open the campground at a later date if or when it is safe. Our campground is now closed until April 1, 2020. It will reopen for reservations March 1, 2020. Our prices for camping will increase for the new year starting in 2020.
